Many are not aware that the Rambo 5 originally had quite a different story. There was a storyline based on the book Hunter. Now, this would have been interesting.

Stallone bought the movie rights to the book years ago and rumor has it he was contemplating working it into a Rambo movie. From my understanding, Rambo was living up in the mountains(somewhere) and a creature escapes from a secret underground military research station. Rambo has to battle the creature to save the locals from being slaughtered and eaten.

Think about it – – > Kind of a Rambo versus Predator deal.

So, I’m reading Hunter right now via Audible, and it’s very good. Action-packed and an excellent story. Stallone announced a few months ago he is going to make a movie based on the book and I suspect it will be great.
